About BigOceanData
BigOceanData is a maritime operations platform that brings together Vessel Tracking, Route Optimisation and Maritime Intelligence to support clearer operational, commercial, risk and compliance decisions across the maritime sector.
One platform. Three connected pillars.
BigOceanData helps maritime teams see more clearly, plan more confidently and act from one shared operational picture. The platform combines high-integrity vessel visibility, weather-aware route optimisation and practical maritime intelligence in one cloud-based environment designed for day-to-day use across fleet, voyage, port, risk and reporting workflows.
The BigOceanData story
BigOceanData was built to improve the quality and usefulness of maritime visibility beyond standalone AIS. Over time, the platform has expanded from multi-source vessel tracking into a broader maritime operations environment, adding route optimisation, operational intelligence and configurable workflows that help teams monitor activity, assess risk and make better decisions.
Today, BigOceanData supports a wide range of use cases across fleet monitoring, voyage planning, port activity, incident review, risk-sensitive operations and historical analysis. The platform processes over 24 million messages every 24 hours and captures vessel data across a fleet of more than 450,000 vessels.
