ClipperData has entered into a long-term agreement to use the BigOceanData AIS-based vessel tracking portal.
ClipperData, the leading provider of comprehensive data sets, analysis and commentary on global crude and refined product movements, has entered into a long-term agreement to use the BigOceanData AIS-based vessel tracking portal.
Under the terms of the agreement, ClipperData will utilise BigOceanData to track commodity movements on a vessel-by-vessel basis as well as cargo-by-cargo, and dock-to-dock.
“We chose BigOceanData over other providers because of the speed of their platform, and the crispness of their display,” said Abudi Zein, CEO of ClipperData.
Mark Hewish, BigOceanData’s managing director, is delighted with the signing of the agreement. He says, “ClipperData is widely recognised as a leader in the analysis of global cargos including crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. We are proud to be selected as ClipperData’s maritime tracking partner. As the integration of ‘Big Data’ becomes more relevant in the maritime industry, so close cooperation between solution providers becomes more important. We look forward to a long a productive relationship with the ClipperData team”.
