Globavista Ltd, has signed an Agreement with ABB to provide ‘Route Planning and Optimisation’ (RPO) functionality, through an extension of the BigOceanData suite of software.

Historically, route planning has been the sole responsibility of the ship’s captain but with the greater focus on fuel consumption, on-time arrival and environmental efficiencies the market is moving towards the shore side fleet managers having much more control.
